One thing I love about it, though; is that it doesn't FORCE you to make the new changes.  You still have the option of keeping your old settings.  I really appreciate that!

So, Hannah wants to completely re-do her bedroom.  New furniture, paint, etc..

I don't blame her!

We will see what happens.  At least she's being wise with her money.  She's shopping around, getting prices, etc..  I'm providing a new mattress and the rest is "on her".  I will show her how to use graph paper to measure and move around her pieces of possible furniture to see if it will all work before she buys anything.  It should be interesting!  lol

Furnace

Yay!  We get our furnace fixed tomorrow.  It's still running, but has had an "issue".

So, tomorrow it should be better. 

Work

So, last week I was promoted at work and began the new position on Monday.  It's higher pay, more hours, and lots of other differences.  I can take my time with customers instead of being rushed, although that never stopped me from *truly* helping them before.  Also, I'm not pushed to make sales.  Ironically, today I had a customer say he thought I was a natural salesperson!  lol  ME??!!!  I laughed and told him that typically I'm the type who can't sell a blanket to an Eskimo!  He wanted me to be "assigned to him and his account" but we don't do that.  He wanted to tell a manager how much he appreciated my help, so I transferred him to the managers' "take over" line.

This was my third one in ten days!  What happens when a customer tells the management that they liked the person they talked to is that the manager who took the call sends out an email to ALL of management!  My name is now quite familiar there and the bosses' bosses now know who I am.

I also get $20 in MF play money for each customer compliment.  lol  From time to time, they have private employee sales that we can use our MF dollars with.  We earn them through a variety of ways and I now have $68 worth.  Kenton is hoping I'll be able to get him something good.  lol  We also get a candy bar for customer compliments and other things.  Basically, anytime we earn MF money of any denomination, we get a candy bar with it.  I think that MF has a deal made with dentists in the area.  MF provides the cavities, or something!  There are also free raffle tickets handed out with the $1 MF bucks, but I've never won the monthly prize.  Yesterday they drew for a 12 string guitar and an amplifier.

There are things I enjoy about this job; but there are things I'd give up in a heartbeat if I found something else!  I hate having to work every stinkin' Saturday!  So, somewhat - I continue looking; although not so diligently as I was before.  If anyone knows of something M-F days ... let me know and put in a good word for me!
